Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-08-23T00:12Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-08-23T00:12:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S13W90
Active Region Number: 14514
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
CHP: CME - Coronal Hole Proximity
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: Thin, fast CME observed to the W in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1, not observed in STEREO A COR2 likely due to its occulting disk. The source is AR 14514 (S10W83), with field line movement followed by a post eruptive arcade observed in SDO AIA 171/193 near the SW limb, centered approximately ~S13W90 (but may vary W80-W100), starting around 2026-08-22T23:47Z. Also observed brightening, field line movement, and slight dimming from this region in STEREO A EUVI 195/304.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

This updated measurement relies more on later frames as there appears to be some northward deflection later in the propagation of the CME. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)

This front has a more faint nose and a brighter piece following it; this preliminary analysis captures both in one measurement. Longitude W90 is used as a reasonable approximation and not a plane-of-sky, but could vary W80-W100. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
